Sunken Garden Poetry Festival on NBC Connecticut>
On Sunday, July 12th, Sunken Garden Poetry Festival rates will apply all day for admission: $12 in advance on-line, $15 at the gate. Admission includes guided tours of Hill-Stead from 10 am – 1 pm, or a self-guided Open House from 1 – 4 pm.
Hill-Stead Museum will be closed on Saturday, July 4th, for the holiday. We will reopen on Sunday, July 5th.

Thursday, May 7, marked the 100th anniversary of the sinking of The RMS Lusitania. Our museum’s founder, Theodate Pope was among the survivors of the tragedy. In observance of the Lusitania Centenary, Hill-Stead Museum presented a day-long social media event, during which time we revealed portions of the letter Theodate wrote to her mother recounting the chronology of her survival.
