I hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving! In my last message, I announced that two generous donors are championing Hill-Stead in tomorrow’s national initiative of GivingTuesday by offering a challenge of $7,500 as a matching gift.
As I share this photograph of our resident snapping turtle, which a few of our young visitors from Noah Wallace Elementary School mention in these adorable letters (one is pictured here), I can assure you that Hill-Stead has not slowed down during the pandemic.
On the contrary, our beloved institution has come into its own over these past nine months, and evolved into a veritable natural and cultural hub. Seamlessly melding outdoor, education and entertainment opportunities, Hill-Stead has hosted thousands of visitors – of all ages – this year, for everything from summer camp to opera performances. Like this letter, their words of appreciation have warmed our hearts, and we plan to share more in the coming days!
