Gallery Talk: Theodate’s Boys: Gordon, Donald, and Paul
November 1, 1 pm
One of Theodate’s adolescent dreams (or “air castles” as she called them) was to raise an orphaned child. As it turned out she took in three boys, two of whom lived to adulthood. Learn about Theodate’s Boys and a little known facet of her life—her role as “mom.” Free with museum membership or admission.
Children’s Activity: Family Photos
November 1, 1 pm
The Pope family had three foster children, Donald, Gordon, and Paul. What does your family look like? Join us to learn more about Hill-Stead families as we look at old photographs. Then we will take new photographs of each other and celebrate our families. Children will make frames and take home their photo. Meet in the Carriage Porch at 1 pm.
